Why we need Industry Partners

Investment in doctoral students ensures that the UK can train the next generation of creative researchers and critical STEM leaders, who will deliver innovation, economic growth, and prosperity for the UK across all sectors.

Each CDT will be led by a university applicant who needs to secure industry partnerships to support their application. It is expected that applications will include significant additional funding from their industry partners. This support will typically be drawn from a consortium of like-minded industry partners who will work in collaboration with each other and with the applicant to co design and co deliver the CDT.
